The marking grace period ends
December 2, 2026

Article 50's transparency duties have applied since August 2, 2026. AI systems that were already on the market before that date get until December 2, 2026 to meet the machine-readable marking duty for their output. After that date there is no grace left — and breaches of Article 50 carry fines of up to €15 million or 3% of worldwide annual turnover, whichever is higher.

This free tool marks one piece of AI-generated text: it embeds machine-readable marking and writes the human-visible disclosure for you, then records the event in an exportable marking log. Everything runs in your browser — your text never leaves your machine.

Mark a file free → Check your readiness first

This tool produces unsigned machine-readable metadata marking. It does not produce cryptographically signed Content Credentials, and it is not legal advice, not a certification, and not a guarantee of compliance.
